This was our 5th time in the park. Right on our annual trip north and back. Excellent owners, service and facilities. We use it for an overnight stop over and love it. Friends use it several nights as a gathering point for several rigs meeting for a caravan trip. Gravel roads but are packed and sites are level - some with trees and some open. Easy pull through sites for our long trailer.
This is a perfect, out of the way, small, quiet camp ground with an easy ride to attractions. We used it as a 4 day stop in route to wintering in TX. As advertised, very clean and tidy park. Heard that the cable options were slim but we have Sat Dish. Regular improvements are apparent. This will be on our list to return on future trips.
As with all parks, there are goods and bads and these vary also by the type of rig you have. The sites (and roads) are concrete but narrow and short. Several are only 30 amp, so check. Fellow campers know parking is a challenge and pop up to help guide you in ... owners do not. People and the activities made this place a real gem and there is a nice blend of trees, palms and openness. Distance between the backs of units on opposing streets is outstanding. WiFi worked well as did the cable. Low city water pressure and questionable septic system. Record your meter reading upon arrival as electric is read and paid monthly - rate acceptable and while our own AC Volt meter rested mostly in the 113 volt area, it did not drop into the red. Have a rubber sewer connector sleeve to get attached to their sewer pipe. The air port next door does have regular traffic of helicopters that service the oil platforms from offices almost next door. They and the Navy trainers from NAS Corpus Christi that use the field for touch and go practice can make it very noisy at times. My guess is the owner that runs the office is the reason for all the negative comments given by others. My advice is to be very neutral when dealing with her and deal with her ONLY when you have to. Having said that, we love the Rockport/Fulton area and we did have a wonderful time for our winter months here but are looking to find something better for next winter. Maybe we won't find all we want.
An older KOA park but in very good repair. Just off the highway and easy to find. Stayed a night and on the way to Coastal Bend of TX to winter. Everything was fine, including the dinner we had in their small restaurant. Will stop again.
Super sharp, neat, and easy to hook up. Rather new streets and pads are all concrete and nice. Getting to this park is a bit convoluted. We stayed for 2 days while in route to wintering in the Coastal Bend and will return again. Call ahead for this place seems busy.
A campground, not an RV park. Close sites, mostly hard to get positioned, not level, some gravel but mostly grass. A ton or rules and every thing you want is an extra expense. Attitude of owners is very dictator based but appear pleasant. Lots of trees so if you want satellite be sure to say so when registering. Facilities are very old but they work at being tidy. One of only 3 that I found in the vicinity of suburbs north of Milwaukee, and I am afraid it may be the better of those. Beautify lake with a fair amount of day campers. This is our home town area so we may have to stay here again when again visiting friends and relations.
Bare bones ... mostly a water park. Very old but it looks like the new owner is making site and road improvements. Facilities limited to your site. We took a CTC discount but I wonder when they were rated last by CTC for it is not what one might expect.
A private RV resort. We visit Branson quite often and took the resort tour in Nov 2006 and it was so nice we bought a membership at auction the next spring and stayed for Branson Fest. Every thing about this resort is first class and once you are a member the site fee is $1 a night with limitations on stay to 14 days but can stay another week if you move to another site. Annual dues are easily recovered with a weeks stay. Can stay as many times a year as you want, with a 9 day absence in between. Right on the strip and minutes from majority of shows and activities. Lots of resort activities too. Mostly concrete with some well prepared gravel sites. Each year the resort converts some gravel to concrete. Pay for WiFi or go to lodge for hook up.
